Alright, this is where I would have listed my suggestions for fantasy books. However, I have to admit that the closest I've ever come to reading a fantasy book was The Hobbit and H.G. Wells books...I have no experience with this so I'm going to refrain from making suggestions. I've never been able to make it all the way through a fantasy book so I hope you girls have some good picks! List your suggestions for a book from this genre to read in December!

Since I doubt I will be participating in the first books I don't really want to be the one to suggest anything. If it is something really short I might have time but I don't want to have the responsibility of leading the chat this month either way. Darn wedding getting in the way of things.

I definitely want to read Alas, Babylon! Book of a Thousand Days looks good too...I'd be happy with either.

This is great! - we're getting close to making a final decision so I'm going to make a thread on WW to let the rest of the group know so they won't feel left out.

I love anything by Robin McKinley and she just released a new book, Pegasus. But I also love Sunshine, which is, hands down, the best vampire book. Very NOT Twilight. What's great about Sunshine is that it's not sappy or cheesy in any way. But for adult fantasy, Deerskin is amazing. Very dark, but it still has the elements of a fairy tale.
There's also a new book that my friend discovered called The Spirit Thief, which is a fun and interesting fantasy. It presents magic in a different way than usual
I read Magician: Apprentice ages ago. I'd probably really enjoy reading it again, but it's the first book in a series as well.
I used to read nothing but fantasy, but it's been a while.

I can't decide between "Deerskin", "Sunshine" or "Book of a Thousand Days" so I vote for all three! lol Whatever we read, I'll be adding these to my personal book list, they sound really good.
